Working with Netflix on several title launches during their peak growth period was an amazing learning. Launching S04 of the dystopian Sci-Fi series Black Mirror. Great collaboration with the showrunners and their teams led to an agreement that disrupting the feel-good hopefulness of NYE with some BM doom, would tickle the same bones in the audience as the show itself. And likely a few new ones.

As excitement grew for the new year...

We placed ourselves in the middle of the action, at times square as the ball-dropped, and just after on CNN.

Seconds after new years, as other brands delivered hope for the future.

Black Mirror did what it does best - reflect the most discomforting ideas and behaviours of humanity.

Mashing up themes from the upcoming season...

With real events and trends of the year passed.

Even looping in many of the years most dystopian figures...

Unafraid of bringing controversy to the franchise.

Unafraid to point fingers at what it believes are the darker sides of society..

Set to Abba's cheerful "Happy New Year" we built a truly gut-wrenching view of the future...

Leaving many choking on their champagne...

...but many others laughing along with us, especially those in the know, the fans.
